Fr. Kevin Carroll s.j.
One allegation of a sexual assault on a student in class at Riverview in the early 1960's.
Reports:
The boarders felt uncomfortable with Carroll watching them in the open showers in the morning
and complained about it.
They were told he was there to time them so they don't spend too long in the shower.
Carroll had his room in the top section of the old building at Riverview next to the "overflow dormitory".
A boy was going up the stairs to see Carroll as requested and was stopped by a prefect who
said "you are not going up there".
Another boy close by heard it and said very strongly " don't go, he's a paedophile".
The boy did not go to see Carroll.
Strong similarities with P.J. Stephenson s.j.,
they were both from Ireland and would have known each other at Xavier College around 1937-40.
